“Man of Glass”, a poetry book by Tabish Khair, landed in my hands a few months ago. I kept it safely in the pile of books on my study table but didn’t pay any time to read it owing to business with other projects at office. Yesterday, I had the chance to flip through the book which has three sections that “draw upon three writers from across centuries, cultures, literary genres and languages.” The book features translations from the works of Kalidasa, Asadullah Khan Ghalib and H C Andersen.
Khair has beautifully brought forth the sublime strength that these great masters hold in their writings. I would recommend this book for those who love poetry
